How Amazing is GRACE!

Posted in Uncategorized on 02/22/2010 by ABN3R

I had to understand that I was saved by GOD’s GRACE. Through Grace I receive eternal life and a promise of heaven even though I’m not worthy of it. We need His Grace and Mercy to receive this heavenly gift. Paul said in Colossians 1:13-14; “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption the forgiveness of sins.” “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8.
It’s wonderful and beautiful how GOD chooses us and how is GRACE shape us. Grace shapes us by; understanding the word of GOD, we are justified by Grace, Grace make us a better person, and helps us in time of need. The Lord told Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12: 9 “my Grace is all you need”.
This Amazing GRACE requires me to do Godly things and live a true Christian life. My biggest fears are to received His Grace in vain and/or not grow in it.

OAKing-it

The definition of Discipline;
Been consistent or having a regimen, been obedient, to bring order, or been punished.
The definition of Spiritual Discipline;
To FOLLOW Jesus and DO exactly what Jesus did.
In Psalms 1:1-3, shows a disciplined person been able to withstand many worldly temptations. Shows a disciplined person been able to intake GOD’s word and applying it and produce fruits. It refers us to a tree; this made me think of the movie “tombstone” when Doc Holiday said “Wyatt! You are an OAK”. We all can be OAKing-it for GOD. If our faith and spiritual disciple is strong as an OAK we will be able to withstand any temptations and be fruitful. You will be blessed if you are spiritually disciplined, people will seek your guidance and help. Like any kind of discipline, you have to starts small and be consistent. That’s in the perfect world, but in my Abner’s world its different story. Like any kind of disciple, it’s hard to maintain a discipline schedule. The more you stick with the discipline schedule, the easier it will become. My day starts a prayer and then I “TRY” to read my devotions and e-devotions every morning at work. I’m “TRY” to apply what I have learned from discipleship dare, marriage classes, praying classes, sermons and watching other Christian. I pray that I can be truly SPIRITUALLY DISCIPLINED.
